Teacher's Aide - Baker, Louisiana

Job Description

Embark on a new opportunity supporting students as a paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Baker, LA. This contract position begins as soon as possible and is scheduled through May 20, 2027. You'll work 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, engaging directly with children and making a meaningful impact on their academic and personal success.

Your role will involve assisting teachers, working one-on-one or in small groups with students, and helping to foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere. Qualifications & Credentials:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred
Completion of a paraprofessional certification or meeting state paraprofessional standards
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with children/adolescents in an educational setting is highly desirable
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to follow direction and support teacher-led instruction
Relevant background checks and clearances as required by law

Primary Responsibilities:

Support instructional activities in and out of the classroom
Provide individualized or small group support to students
Implement teacher-developed lesson plans and behavior intervention strategies
Facilitate inclusion of students with varying needs
Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
Assist with classroom organization and materials
