Special Education Teacher | Baker, Louisiana

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact working as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role supporting students near Baker, Louisiana. You'll have the opportunity to use your expertise and dedication to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment while collaborating with educators and families. Necessary Qualifications:

Active Special Education teaching certification (SPED Cert) in Louisiana
Previous experience working with students with diverse needs in a school setting preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff
Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual learning styles

Position Details:

Contract position starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 20, 2027
Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Caseload details are currently being gathered to ensure the best fit and support
Work directly with students requiring specialized instruction and help them reach their full potential

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt lessons and materials for various learning capabilities
Assess student progress and maintain proper documentation
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
