Nurse Extern Renal PRN

Mission Health, a leading healthcare provider based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Extern Renal PRN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support the delivery of safe, high‑quality care to patients with acute and chronic renal conditions. As a valued member of our renal care team, you will gain hands‑on clinical experience in a patient‑centered environment while contributing directly to the comfort, safety, and well‑being of our patients. The Nurse Extern Renal PRN will assist with daily patient care activities such as obtaining vital signs, documenting intake and output, assisting with hygiene and mobility, and monitoring patients for changes in condition. You will support nurses and providers with renal‑focused care, including preparation for dialysis treatments, monitoring vascular access sites, reinforcing patient and family education on renal disease and treatment plans, and ensuring that infection prevention and safety protocols are consistently followed. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal outcomes, communicate patient needs promptly, and help maintain an organized, clean, and therapeutic environment.
