About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in a collaborative environment and possess strong clinical judgment. Highlights Location: Staten Island, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time, Evening shift What You'll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status. Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition. Assess level of pain and pain management. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care. Assess patient’s psychosocial health status. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes. Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities. Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care. Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Must be enrolled in an accredited program within 24 months of employment if hired after September 1, 2010, and obtain a BSN degree within five (5) years of employment date. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BCLS certification required. ACLS preferred.
