Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., is looking for Per Diem Registered Nurses. Requirements: minimum 4 12‑hour shifts per month. The 112‑bed behavioral health facility is located in Shippensburg, PA, providing acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults, as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. Roxbury also operates substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Website: RN Role / Responsibilities The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center. The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates, and delegates nursing care. The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift. The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education. The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety. Attends Treatment Team meetings to aid in the development of patient care plans. Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities. The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and promotes and enhances professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
