Process Engineer IV

Overview As a Process Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll design and optimize manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. Responsibilities Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on complex process engineering experiments for multiple products. Define methods, apply new technologies to characterize hardware, and perform hardware characterization on a high number of complex systems. Generate internal and external documentation, including product presentations, technical reports, and process engineering specifications. Develop, plan, and execute process engineering projects within safety guidelines. Train engineers in measurement techniques of film properties and guide them in data interpretation, new methodologies, troubleshooting techniques, and issue resolution. Communicate and engage with customers to resolve complex process engineering issues under limited supervision. Design and implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation. Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers with limited to no supervision. Lead functional teams or projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 7-10 years of related experience. Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in complex problem‑solving. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $147,000 – $202,500 (based on location, grade, experience, and internal equity). Potential bonus and stock award programs may also be available.
