Job Description

This role involves performing electrical wiring, installation, and troubleshooting on industrial construction projects, including new construction, remodels, and plant expansions in a gas compressor station environment. The electrician focuses on galvanized rigid conduit installation and wire pulling in an industrial setting while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical-related wiring and installation for industrial construction projects, including new construction, remodels, and plant expansions.

• Install, bend, and secure galvanized rigid conduit to meet project specifications and industry standards.

• Pull, route, and terminate wiring and cabling for industrial electrical systems.

• Conduct electrical troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues in a timely and safe manner.

• Work on gas compressor station projects and other industrial gas facilities as part of the construction team.

• Read and interpret basic instructions and directions from supervisors related to electrical tasks on the job site.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including OSHA guidelines, while working on active construction sites.

• Collaborate with other electricians and construction team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.

• Adapt to changing schedules and project needs, including working extended shifts when required.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in industrial construction.

• At least 3 years of experience installing and bending conduit in an industrial setting.

• Hands-on experience with galvanized rigid conduit installation and wire pulling.

• Experience performing electrical troubleshooting on industrial construction projects.

• Background in industrial electrical work on compressor stations or similar facilities.

• OSHA 10 certification.

• Ability to work safely and effectively on active industrial construction job sites.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Strong understanding of basic electrical construction practices and safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman-level electrician experience or equivalent practical industrial electrical Background.

• Experience working on gas compressor stations or other natural gas-related facilities.

• Familiarity with industrial construction environments and multi-disciplinary construction teams.

• Ability to collaborate with a crew of other electricians and construction professionals.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in electrical installation and troubleshooting.

Work Environment

Work takes place on an outdoor industrial construction job site at a gas compressor station in West Mifflin, PA. The role requires comfort working in varying weather conditions and around active construction equipment and operations. Typical schedules consist of 5 or 6 days per week with 10-hour shifts, though hours may change based on project needs. You will work as part of a team of approximately 12 on-site employees, including a mix of full-time and project-based team members, in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
