CT Technologist
St. Johns Riverside Hospital
Responsibilities The Cat Scan Technologist is responsible for selecting proper technical factors for examinations, accessing IV sites, and administering the contrast media. Performs medication management including storage, rotation, and temperature requirements. Prepares oral contrast. Uses PACS to complete and send images, and scans documents. Reconstructs/post‑processes images according to protocols. Disposes of biomedical waste using CDC and OSHA guidelines. Must follow all federal, state, and hospital health‑safety codes, especially regarding radiation, electrical, and mechanical safety. Adequately explains procedures to patients. Maintains registration with ARRT including CE credits. Proficient in the use of MediTech (RIS). Qualifications Understands written and verbal instructions. Demonstrates manual dexterity for manipulating equipment. Holds a diploma from an approved school for Radiologic Technology. Licensed for New York State radiologic technology and holds a permit for injections. Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; advanced certification preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr St. Johns Riverside Hospital
