About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take on a pivotal role in leading the technical vision, architecture, and product development. This hands-on position is highly entrepreneurial, requiring a blend of software engineering and strategic leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and owning the technical architecture, making key technical decisions, and ensuring the development and launch of the company's core product. As the first technical hire, the CTO will have the autonomy to shape the technology stack, product roadmap, and engineering culture, with the opportunity to build and lead the engineering function as the business expands. Key responsibilities for the CTO include collaborating with the founding team to translate business requirements into technical solutions, designing and building secure and scalable systems, and identifying opportunities to leverage AI. The role also involves recruiting, mentoring, and leading the engineering team, as well as supporting fundraising activities and representing the business in technical discussions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software engineering, experience in fast-paced, early-stage environments, and a product-focused mindset. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential, along with a strong interest in AI technologies and their application across various domains. Desirable experience includes a background in fintech, banking, or related fields, and exposure to industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
