Area Operations Manager

Role Description We’re hiring an entry-level Manufacturing Manager to oversee day‑to‑day production operations, ensure product quality, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1-3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience who is ready to grow into a leadership position. Key responsibilities Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet output, quality, and safety targets Schedule and assign work; monitor workflow and resolve bottlenecks Train, coach, and mentor production staff; support performance reviews Monitor KPIs (throughput, yield, downtime, scrap) and report to senior management Implement and support Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Assist with inventory control, tooling maintenance, and production documentation Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective action processes Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or a related technical field, or 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus Ability to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment for 8-10 hours per day. Ability to work 2 nd shift and overtime as needed. Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
