Journeyman ElectricianAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Journeyman Electricians to support the North Texas VA Medical Center located at 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216. Shift schedule will typically be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair electrical systems throughout a hospital environment.Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and testing instruments.Repair and maintain: MotorsHVAC electrical componentsAlarm systemsMedical and laboratory equipmentLighting systemsSwitchgearTransformersEmergency power systems and infrastructureInstall, modify, and repair electrical circuits and conduit systems.Perform preventive maintenance on motors, controls, and electrical equipment.Ensure all work complies with: National Electrical Code (NEC)OSHA standardsVA safety requirementsIndustry standardsWork independently with minimal supervision.May provide direction to helpers or support personnel.Operate safely around high-voltage systems up to 4,160 volts AC.Report daily to the VA COR for work assignments and updates.Complete daily service reports documenting: Tasks completedPreventive maintenance performedEquipment servicedParts replacedAdditional repairs neededTechnicians performing the workComplete daily timecards for all services performedQualificationsActive Texas Journeyman Electrician License (copy required).OSHA CertificationFrequent physical exertion.Heavy lifting and carrying.Work indoors and outdoors.Ability to work: In cramped spacesAt elevated heightsAround electrical hazards including shock and burn risks.Contractors must provide and wear: Arc-rated or natural fiber long-sleeve shirts and long pantsOSHA-approved steel-toe bootsHearing protectionEye protectionNo sponsorship availableAll candidates must be able to: sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift; lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs; carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance; push/pull with 30 lbs of force.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
