Associate Attorney

A well-established, full-service law firm with a long-standing presence in the New York/New Jersey market. Seeking an experienced Associate to join its Trusts & Estates team in New Jersey. This is an unusual opportunity: rather than building from scratch, you would step into an established trusts and estates practice with an existing client base and meaningful responsibility from day one. You will lead the preparation of wills and other wealth transfer documents for clients across a wide range of family circumstances and levels of wealth. What You'll Do Serve as the primary attorney responsible for an established trusts and estates practice Advise clients and families on customized estate planning and wealth transfer strategies, probate proceedings, and the planning of complex estates Draft, review, and oversee estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related planning tools Handle all aspects of trust administration, including fiduciary accounting Manage the full client experience — initial consultation through drafting, signing, and follow-up Stay current on developments in estate planning, tax, elder law, and asset protection to provide thoughtful legal guidance What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience in tax law, trusts, and estate planning JD with excellent academic credentials Admitted and in good standing in New Jersey Tax, special needs planning, and elder law experience are a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong professional judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills A proactive, resourceful approach and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously #J-18808-Ljbffr
