Financial Project Manager

Project Financial Controller – Construction (On-Site/Hybrid)This is a full-time role supporting the financial management of a large-scale data center construction project. The Construction Site Controller will play a key role in cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting, working closely with project leadership to provide accurate and timely insights into overall project performance. The position will begin as fully on-site.Key Responsibilities:Manage project budget setup, cost coding, and ongoing cost trackingPrepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projectionsMonitor cost performance, identifying variances and potential risksPartner with Project Managers and Superintendents to align financials with field progressSupport subcontractor financials, including commitments and pay applicationsTrack and manage change orders, ensuring accurate cost impact reportingMaintain visibility into committed, actual, and forecasted costsAssist with procurement and commitment trackingSupport month-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliationsEnsure compliance with internal financial processes and documentation standardsCoordinate with corporate finance and accounting teams as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field5+ years of experience in construction cost control, project accounting, or project controlsExperience supporting large-scale construction projects (data center or mission-critical preferred)Familiarity with construction contracts, billing, and cost structuresExperience with systems such as Procore, SAP, Oracle, or similarStrong Excel and analytical skillsAbility to work on-site as required, especially during initial project phaseWhat We're Looking For:Previous Data Center project experienceStrong attention to detail and organizationSolid financial and analytical capabilitiesClear communication across teams and stakeholdersCollaborative, team-oriented mindsetAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWork Environment:Combination of on-site and hybrid working (after initial onboarding period)Close collaboration with field teams and project leadershipFast-paced, team-driven environmentBenefits & Perks:Per diem provided (project/location dependent)Performance-based bonus opportunityCompany-paid health insurance
