Purchasing Specialist (ID# 5283)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Islandia, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with purchasing and vendor management.

What You’ll Do:

\n
• Manage daily purchasing activities, including purchase orders, order tracking, confirmations, and vendor follow-up
\n
• Enter and maintain purchasing information accurately in NetSuite
\n
• Work directly with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery information
\n
• Monitor open POs and follow up on late or outstanding deliveries
\n
• Coordinate with Operations, Inventory, Accounting, and other departments
\n
• Review inventory levels and assist with replenishment and material planning
\n
• Maintain accurate vendor and purchasing records
\n
• Resolve discrepancies involving POs, pricing, quantities, and deliveries
\n
• Assist with identifying cost savings and process improvements
\n
• Provide administrative support to the Purchasing/Operations team
\n

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous purchasing/procurement experience
\n
• Hands-on NetSuite experience is a MUST
\n
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
• Strong vendor communication and relationship-management skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
\n
• Strong Excel and computer skills
\n
