Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities Under the direction of the Department Director/Manager/Lead, the X‑Ray/CT Tech is responsible for producing quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structure following prescribed protocols. Perform examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to promote the services offered at the facility. Maintain radiation protection and safety for patients, staff, and self in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory guidelines. Keep exam rooms, equipment, and work areas clean and organized to ensure patient and employee safety. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology. Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist/Computed Tomography Technologist required. Acute care experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required. Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required. Skills Communication skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, and effectively present information to managers, clients, and the public. Mathematical skills: ability to perform basic calculations and interpret statistical data. Reasoning ability: ability to follow instructions, solve practical problems, and apply common sense in varied situations. Knowledge of regulatory bodies (joint commission, ACR, Title 22) and compliance with hospital policies. Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact well with clinical personnel and the public. Proficient with PC applications. Perform X‑Ray/CT exams independently and follow physician orders. Access IV sites before injections and verify lab values for radiology review.
