Client Service Manager

Kennedy Capital Management (KCM) is a St. Louis-based boutique investment firm with a 40-year track record in small- and mid-cap domestic equity. We’re hiring a Client Service Manager to own the production of prospect and client materials, lead RFP/RFI/DDQ responses, and help us bring more automation and efficiency to how this work gets done. This role works alongside our Client Relationship Manager as part of a two-person Client Service team. What you’ll do Produce and maintain client-facing materials — pitchbooks, presentations, and collateral — with a high bar for accuracy and polish. Monitor the shared client communications inbox and respond promptly to client, consultant, and prospect inquiries — this is a core daily responsibility shared with the Client Relationship Manager. Own the recurring operational work that keeps client service running: data pulls, report distribution, meeting logistics, and similar tasks. We expect this person to do the work well and look for ways to make it faster, more accurate, or automated over time. Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs, partnering with investment, operations, and compliance to deliver complete, on-time submissions. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and prospects, coordinating communications and on-site meetings. Identify opportunities to streamline how the Client Service team works — including applying AI tools, building reusable content libraries, and reducing manual steps in recurring workflows. We’ve built a strong foundation over 40 years; we’re looking for someone who can help us build on it. Partner with the broader business development team on ad hoc projects and requests. What we’re looking for Relevant experience in institutional client service for an asset manager. We’re open to candidates at different career stages and will calibrate scope and compensation accordingly. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the judgment to know when a question needs a one-line answer and when it needs a full memo. Strong project management instincts and a high tolerance for detail-oriented recurring work. You hit deadlines, you don’t let things slip, and you take pride in doing routine work well — while also looking for ways to do less of it over time. A bias toward improving the process, not just executing it. If you’ve used AI tools, scripting, or templating to make a recurring task faster, we want to hear about it. Comfort with MS Office and Adobe; familiarity with Salesforce, FactSet, or UBS Holt is a plus but not required — we’ll teach you our stack. A bachelor’s degree and/or asset management licensing (Series 7, 63, 65, etc.) is a plus. Discretion with confidential information and a strong compliance mindset.
