Freelance Wolof Interpreter (Community Setting)

We are seeking a reliable and professional Wolof Interpreter for community-based assignments in and around the Lawrence Township, NJ area. This is a freelance (independent contractor) opportunity ideal for individuals who are fluent in Wolof and English and enjoy supporting diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate, in-person Wolof interpretation in community settings (e.g., social services, or local appointments)
Facilitate clear communication between Wolof-speaking clients and English-speaking providers
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics standards
Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled assignments
Qualifications:
Fluency in Wolof and English (spoken and comprehension required)
Prior interpretation experience preferred (community, medical, or social services settings a plus)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
Professional demeanor and dependability
Work Arrangement:
Freelance / independent contractor
