Job Title: Embedded Software Quality Engineer

Contract Duration - 6 months/w2

Position Summary

Responsible for managing software issue backlogs, investigating product defects, assessing risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into software defects and determine their cause, impact, and severity.
• Coordinate issue triage, identify duplicate records, and document investigation findings and resolutions.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready issue records in JIRA.
• Assess product risks, identify gaps in risk documentation, and escalate safety-critical issues when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure timely completion.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or automotive, is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency in JIRA and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
