Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager (Aerospace) Location: South Windsor, Connecticut Salary: Competitive, DOE (Dependent on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with a strong background inthe aerospace industry to lead and enhance our quality systems and processes. This role is designed as a succession position, with the expectation that the successful candidate will grow into the Director of Quality role within 2-3 years. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader who combines deep technical expertise with the ambition and capability to take on executive-level responsibilities in the near future. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control functions across the organization Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, FAA, etc.) Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality management systems and processes Oversee internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams Mentor and develop the quality team, building leadership bench strength Support strategic planning and contribute to long-term organizational goals Prepare for transition into Director-level responsibilities, including leadership of broader quality strategy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (Master's preferred) 7+ years of experience in quality assurance within the aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing industry Proven knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100 required) Strong experience with audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills High potential for executive leadership and long-term growth within the company COVID-19 vaccination required (subject to applicable laws and accommodations) Preferred Attributes Ambitious and career-driven, with a clear interest in advancing to a Director-level role Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment Strategic thinker with strong operational execution skills Why Join Us Opportunity to step into a clearly defined leadership succession path Exposure to executive leadership and strategic decision-making Competitive compensation package based on experience Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment #INDHartford Additional Information At HW Staffing Solutions we recognize the value of our employee associates as equally as our clients.
