Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) / Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed cardiovascular surgery stepdown unit serving CV surgery, vascular surgery, and overflow medical cardiology patients
• Manage epidurals, chest tubes, tube feedings, and IV glucommander protocols
• Administer and monitor cardiac drip infusions including phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, and ketamine
• Maintain a 1:5 patient ratio in a fast-paced, high-acuity stepdown environment
• Operate Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, and various patient lift equipment using Cerner EMR
• Float as needed to stepdown, medical-surgical, or ER inpatient holding units per staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Stepdown experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to work a minimum of 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per 6-week schedule period and flexibility to work holidays
• Compliance with dress code: all navy, white tops/navy bottoms, or all white scrubs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery patient population experience within the past year (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass)
• CVICU experience
