Job Description

This position involves primarily receiving oil field tools that return from the field. As these parts and equipment are typically very dirty, candidates will engage in manual lifting and use a pallet jack. Protective gear, such as aprons and gloves, will be provided for handling used parts. The role requires the use of an RF scanner to log parts and equipment into the system, and entails significant manual labor within a general warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations.

• Physically clean and sort equipment.

• Properly receive shipments.

• Support the shipment of goods and supplies for field sales technicians.

• Prepare shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers to standard.

• Determine the method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, and time of shipment.

• Ship items by verifying identifying information, quantity, and condition of items; loading and protecting items.

• Document items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using an RF scanner.

• Experience in receiving and shipping processes.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Valid driver's license.

• High school education.

• Capability to learn forklift operation.

• Ability to operate Windows PC and Apple iPad devices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with UPS/FEDEX.

• Familiarity with packing slips and order pulling process.

• Knowledge of proper packing methods.

• Operating experience with forklifts and electric pallet jacks.

Work Environment

The role is based in a small location of a large company, working in a warehouse attached to the shop alongside a small team of 7 people. The work involves handling dirty equipment from the oil field in an air-conditioned environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77032.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
