Your future begins here!Position Summary/ObjectivesThis position assists the Mortgage Banker as a point of contact for customers, builders, and realtors during the application process and supports the Mortgage Banker in their effort to increase production volume for the area as directed by the MOL. Ensures compliance with SouthState Banks Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other operating procedures. Completes compliance training, adheres to all anti-money laundering guidelines and procedures and all regulatory requirements.Essential FunctionsAssists Mortgage Banker as a point of contact for customers, builders, and realtors during the application processSupports the Mortgage Banker in their effort to increase production volume for the area as directed by the bankerTracks loans through closing, answering customer questions regarding status of files and underwriting requirementsOther related administrative duties as needed and/or assignedAccepts and performs other duties as determined to be essentialReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.CompetenciesAttention to detailCustomer ServiceQualifications, Education, and Certification RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience: Previous experience with FHA, State Housing Conventional, and FNMA/FMLMC loans is preferredCertifications/Specific Knowledge: Excellent communication and PC skills required along with strong written and verbal skills.Training Requirements/ClassesRequired annual compliance training.Physical DemandsMust be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.Work EnvironmentTelecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred.
