We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper specializing in construction industry accounting to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Duties

• Process Certified Payroll. Ensure accurate computation and disbursement of employee wages, in accordance with all regulations and guidelines for certified payroll reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of necessary reports to various unions, ensuring compliance with union agreements and maintaining accurate records of union-related contributions.
• Maintain accurate financial records by preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring that all transactions are documented and correctly allocated in the accounting system.
• Perform regular reconciliations of credit card statements to verify transactions, identify discrepancies, and ensure proper allocation of expenses.
• Coordinate the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing of clients, tracking payments, and addressing any outstanding balances or billing inquiries.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping within the construction industry is a must.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Viewpoint, Timberline, Foundation, or similar
• Certified payroll and union reporting experience is a must
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
