Purgatory Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Sous Chef. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Key responsibilities include directing food preparation and collaborating with the executive chef, producing high quality plates, overseeing and supervising kitchen staff, assisting with menu planning for daily specials and management of supplies, ensuring that food is top quality and that the kitchen is in good working condition, keeping stations clean and complying with food safety standards, offering suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen's performance, preparing food properly, training new employees, helping in ordering food supplies, monitoring and maintaining kitchen equipment, and solving problems that arise and seizing control of issues in the kitchen. Works an average 32 to 40 (or more hours per week).
Minimum qualifications include 2-3 years' experience. Other qualifications include BBQ smoking experience a plus and regular and reliable attendance.
