TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in West Burlington, Iowa, 52655!

ID: 76931454 Shift: 07:00 AM-07:30 PM Description: This position will provide support for the unit as we prepare for the Epic go-live.Cerner and Epic EMR experience required.This position has a hard start date of 5/18/2026 and end date of 7/12/2026. Prior to the end of the assignment, unit needs will be assessed, and an extension could be offered.TRAVELER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELF-STUDYING TELEMETRY STRIPS UPON ACCEPTANCE AND A BASIC DYSRHYTHMIA TEST OUT WILL BE GIVEN FIRST WEEK OF ASSIGNMENT. THIS MUST BE PASSED IN ORDER TO WORK IN OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry. Positions available on Medical Surgical Unit and Telemetry Unit. ACLS Required.While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Unit Description: ACU: Telemetry Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights Floating is a requirement in ACU is always required for any non-critical care inpatient units including to the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. If the traveler has critical care experience, we have occasionally floated them to CCU. ACU required every other weekend rotation. Cerner EMR Experience Required. Traveler will be responsible for self-studying Telemetry strips upon acceptance, and a Basic Dysrhythmia test out will be given first week of assignment. This must be passed in order to work on our Telemetry/Med Surg unit. Telemetry Ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Med/Surg Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
