Job Summary:

Position provides supply chain support to include medical supply par stocking, medical equipment par stocking, equipment decontamination and linen par stocking. Delivers as needed supplies, equipment, and linen in an expeditious manner. Retrieves soiled equipment and delivers to central decontamination. Maintains accuracy of perpetual inventory (Lawson) system by ensuring issued supplies are charged out to using department. Communicates problems and concerns to management. Follows regulatory standards pertaining to appropriate infection control techniques when cleaning equipment. Checks preventative maintenance dates on patient equipment and delivers to Clinical Engineering devices needing service.

Accountabilities:

General Assists with daily restocking of main storeroom Daily, accurate stocking of patient care storage areas with supplies, linen, oxygen and IV pumps Charges out supplies accurately using Lawson IC system Delivers ASAP supplies, equipment and linen as requested Performs IV pump decontamination following manufacturers instructions and Infection Control guidelines Retrieves soiled patient equipment and delivers to decontamination room IV solution management insuring IV solutions are secured and locked in all areas of hospital Linen Delivers assembled/stocked linen carts to patient care areas Has a working knowledge of the pneumatic linen chute Patient/Customer Notify appropriate management if unable to deliver or provide service Participates in department meetings/action planning Patient/Employee Safety Participates in Entity and Department wide initiatives for patient/employee safety Demonstrates an awareness of patient/employee safety when carrying out daily responsibilities Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma Required
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a healthcare support service setting preferred
