System Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities The IT organization is responsible for enabling engineering innovation and scalable manufacturing operations. In this role, you will help establish and grow an internal IT function, acquiring, deploying, and managing commercial off-the-shelf CAD, simulation, product development, and engineering software critical to the organization's continued growth. Architect, deploy, and administer commercial off-the-shelf engineering software applications in accordance with enterprise security standards and industry best practices. Implement application monitoring, automation, and system integrations using modern cloud technologies. Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions for enterprise applications. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for managed systems. Support technical evaluations of software vendors and assist with licensing, procurement, and contract negotiations. Participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical applications and infrastructure. Basic Qualifications Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Experience with software patching, vulnerability management, and security best practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing and supporting distributed systems at scale. Experience architecting and operating cloud-based solutions (AWS or similar cloud platforms).
