Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Contracts and Pricing Specialist to support the Government Satellite Systems Business Unit in either El Segundo, CA; Seal Beach, CA; or Chantilly, VA.This position is a key member of the Contracts Team responsible for leading various contracting actions to include tasks such as developing and negotiating complex timely and quality proposals leading to the contract administration/execution of these transactions. This role requires a keen sense of urgency while maintaining a mindset that promotes leadership, safety, first time quality, working to emphasize speed and agility, honesty and candor.Position Responsibilities:Interface with Leaders at all levels of the Enterprise and with external Customers on a regular basis providing contract interpretations/determinationsLead the development of contractual and pricing strategy, funding and expenditure profiles, provide proper disclosures within established company and customer policies, process, procedures and regulationsMake firm commitments on behalf of the Enterprise within established Delegation of Authority with Customers for various transactionsPrimary interfaces will include working with Department of Defense (DoD) and industry prime customers in addition to the Defense Contract Management Agency and Defense Contract Audit Agency.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customer counterparts and the next level within the customer organization at a high rate of transaction frequencyDevelop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovationDevelop solutions to unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisionsOperate and practice with a professional level of discretion.Provide Contracts guidance/determinations and technical and operational leadership for the program/ business management teamsDraft, review and negotiate Proprietary Information Agreements or other Non-Sales Agreements necessary to meet organizational objectives and protect the intellectual and proprietary property of Boeing and its customersEnsure compliance with legal and company requirementsCoordinate flow-down and flow-up of prime terms and conditions with supplier managementPrepare company funds requests and obtain required management approvalFacilitate prompt payment and support achievement of company financial goals and objectivesAct as focal for audits as requiredServe as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the company on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectivesThis position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required3+ years of experience leading or contributing to proposals or engineering change proposals for government contracts or prime sub-contracts3+ years of experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or other commercial contracting terms and conditionsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree or higherExperience performing with a significant amount of autonomy and exercise good judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignmentsExperience advising all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solvingExperience mentoring and guiding less experienced personnelTypical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
