Location: Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (GLH) • Shift: Days • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 • Worker Type: Regular • Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary The Musculoskeletal Institute in Geisinger’s Western region seeks a fellowship‑trained Sports Medicine physician. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with orthopaedic foot, ankle, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, sports medicine, trauma and cancer conditions. The role includes treating community members as well as athletes from local high schools and clubs. Job Duties / Responsibilities Deliver patient‑centered orthopaedic and sports‑medicine care across multiple subspecialty areas. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 85 physicians, 90 advanced practitioners, and 575 staff. Participate in teaching, research, and initiatives to expand patient access. Leverage a fully integrated Epic electronic health record for efficient practice management. Advance clinical quality and value through adherence to evidence‑based guidelines. Position Details Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (required) License: Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania Experience: Fellowship training in Sports Medicine (preferred) Skills: Patient Care, Procedural Skills, Professional Etiquette, Systems‑Based Practice Compensation: Competitive straight‑salary model linked to quality and value, with reinforcement of professional growth and advancement opportunities.
