Front Desk Manager

Front Desk Manager – Boston Marriott Burlington The Front Desk Manager will oversee guest service, staff supervision, scheduling, and profitability across the Front Office department, ensuring high standards of Marriott service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate and supervise the Front Office efficiently, including scheduling and managing Guest Service Agents. Continuously refresh, maintain, and enforce Marriott service standards. Delegate duties and responsibilities to Front Office staff and ensure logical work processes. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by controlling rates and availability on the day of guest arrival. Ensure proper staffing at all times in all Front Office areas. Ensure compliance with Leading Hotel Quality Standards, policies, and procedures. Assist in compiling the annual departmental operating budget and control departmental costs. Perform human resources functions such as hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions under the guidance of the Director of Front Office. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, behavior, and grooming for staff, including self‑presentation. Handle all guest complaints and comments related to the department tactfully. Cooperate and coordinate teamwork with other departments. Perform other reasonable duties as required by the Director of Front Office Manager. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years front‑office and/or supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting. Demonstrated management and leadership skills. Superior customer service skills. Strong multi‑tasking ability and attention to detail. Sound accounting background and ability to train staff in this area. Excellent computer skills. Ability to work closely with other department managers to ensure optimum guest satisfaction. Availability to work holidays and weekends; ability to stand for long periods of time. Compensation and Benefits $70,000 - $80,000 annual salary. Comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
