School-Based Behavioral Health Clinician - TMI serving Jefferson County Schools Eastern Panhandle Instructional Cooperative Jefferson County Schools - Charles Town, West Virginia Job Details Job ID: 5837033 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jul 16, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 10, 2026 Job Description Employment Term: 200 days, grant funded for the 26-27 school year Salary: Based upon the FY’27 EPIC Professional Pay Scale with verified years of experience and education Position Summary: The School-Based Behavioral Health Clinician provides trauma-informed, evidence-based behavioral health services to students and families within Jefferson County Schools while supporting The Martinsburg Initiative's (TMI) School-Based Behavioral Health Initiative. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, family engagement, crisis intervention, care coordination, and collaboration with schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies to promote student wellness, family stability, and academic success. Qualifications Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field Licensure: Active West Virginia behavioral health license required (LGSW, LICSW, LPC, ALPS, LMFT, or equivalent). Clinical licensure preferred. Experience: Preferred two years of experience providing behavioral health assessment and therapy to children, adolescents, and families. Experience in school-based behavioral health, trauma-informed care, collaborative care, crisis intervention, family systems, and evidence-based treatment preferred. Experience with Medicaid documentation, behavioral health screening tools, quality improvement, and grant-funded programs is desirable. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong assessment, diagnostic, treatment planning, and crisis intervention skills. Knowledge of child development, behavioral health disorders, trauma, suicide risk assessment, and evidence-based practices. Excellent communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills. Proficiency with electronic health records and behavioral health documentation systems. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, travel between schools, and maintain ethical, culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. Applicants who have been dismissed or who have had their contracts non-renewed for cause by any school system, who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations by any school system, who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance, and/or who receive unfavorable reference recommendations from related work experience will not be eligible for consideration for employment with EPIC. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Services: Conduct behavioral health assessments, establish diagnoses within licensure, and develop treatment, service, and discharge plans. Provide individual, family, parent-child, psychoeducational, and group therapy using evidence-based practices (CBT, TF-CBT, MI, SFBT, SBIRT, Parent Management Training, etc.). Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 30 students based on treatment intensity and clinical need. Deliver services in school, office, and telehealth settings. Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with Medicaid, HIPAA, ethical, agency, and grant requirements. Care Coordination & School Collaboration: Coordinate care with families, schools, healthcare providers, CPS, courts, and community agencies. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including SAT, MDT, IEP, Section 504, treatment teams, and crisis response. Collaborate with the assigned TMI School Support Specialist and school personnel to promote student success and continuity of care. Assessment & Outcomes: Utilize standardized screening tools (PHQ-A, GAD-7, Vanderbilt, C-SSRS, ACEs-Q, SDQ, CYRM, and others as appropriate). Monitor treatment progress using measurement-based care and participate in outcome tracking, quality improvement, and grant reporting. Family Engagement: Provide family counseling, parent education, caregiver coaching, and parent management training. Strengthen family engagement, caregiver capacity, and coordination with healthcare and community resources. Program Development: Support implementation of TMI's School-Based Behavioral Health Initiative and Collaborative Care Model. Assist with workflow development, referral coordination, behavioral health programming, psychoeducational materials, support groups, and community education. Participate in agency-approved training and program development initiatives. Professional Responsibilities: Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education. Attend supervision, staff meetings, and professional development. Follow Jefferson County Schools and TMI crisis response procedures, including suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and caregiver notification. Meet productivity expectations, travel between schools as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
