Mammography Technologist

Location

Reno, NV

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Mondays to Fridays, with 8-hour shifts rotating from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Schedules will be provided one month in advance.

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist plays a crucial role in producing diagnostic mammograms and assisting radiologists and referring physicians in mammographic procedures. This position ensures patient care and embodies the values of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality mammographic images.
• Assist radiologists and physicians with mammographic procedures.
• Provide care tailored to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring safety and psychosocial support.
• Utilize mammography equipment proficiently and ensure image quality.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital and department computer systems for effective workflows.
• Participate in additional duties as assigned related to the Breast Center.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• ARRT certification and NV State License (must be obtained before start date).
• BLS certification.
