Job Title: CNC Machinist (3rd Shift) ($24/hr.)

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. Set up and operate multiple Carbide Presses, including machines such as Osterwalder 160, Osterwalder 160LX, Osterwalder 320, Osterwalder 640, or Dorst. Utilize computer-controlled setups using the HMI to make adjustments to programs for press setups, load and off-load inserts from multiple presses, and ensure proper dimensions and visual characteristics of inserts.
Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple Carbide Presses, including Osterwalder 160, Osterwalder 160LX, Osterwalder 320, Osterwalder 640, or Dorst.
• Utilize HMI for program adjustments during press setups.
• Load and off-load inserts from multiple presses.
• Gage inserts to ensure proper dimensions.
• Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics and defects.
• Pull samples using 30x and 60x scopes, record inspection results on route card.
• Select tungsten powder and calculate green insert powder weight.
• Separate scrap from good inserts and document accurately.
• Scan correct production information and equipment downtime into MII.
• Maintain tooling used in machines.
• Train new operators when required.
• Troubleshoot quality and machine issues from moderate to complex.

Essential Skills

• Experience with CNC Machine Operation.
• Ability to operate 4-Axis or less CNC machines.
• Experience with hand tools, blueprint reading, troubleshooting, lathe, grinder, and mill operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.

Work Environment
The position is for the 3rd shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The facility is modernized with brand new CNC machines and automation machinery. It is a clean, well-lit, air-conditioned, and temperature-controlled environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orwell, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
