Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS – Hybrid Cloud) Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS – Hybrid Cloud) Location: Remote (with occasional travel as needed) Clearance Required: Active IRS MBI Clearance Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Employment Type: Full-time Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support a federal modernization effort focused on transforming legacy systems into secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native architectures. This role is integral to advancing enterprise DevSecOps maturity and enhancing cloud-based infrastructure reliability across hybrid environments using AWS (no Azure experience will be considered). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and AWS service architecture. They will serve as a hands-on contributor and a technical leader, collaborating with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline secure software delivery and drive infrastructure automation at scale. Responsibilities Design, build, configure, and maintain DevSecOps pipelines in AWS environments using Terraform and CloudFormation. Lead efforts to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments across Dev, Test, and Prod environments. Develop secure and resilient solutions using AWS services such as EKS, S3, Route53, and more. Define, implement, and maintain CI/CD strategies using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Build and manage Blue/Green deployment zones for production environments. Architect landing zones and manage AWS cloud resources in a multi-account structure. Apply DevSecOps best practices to ensure security, scalability, and operational excellence. Collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive agile practices and continuous integration. Provide leadership in DevSecOps tooling, strategies, and technical documentation. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering within large-scale enterprise environments (Fortune 100 preferred). 3–5 years in a senior DevSecOps role with proven expertise in cloud-native deployments. Extensive experience with AWS services, infrastructure setup, and cloud automation. Hands-on skills with Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, EKS, S3, and DNS. Experience designing and implementing microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures. Strong background in Agile development methodologies. CI/CD expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Experience with Java and mainframe migration efforts (z/OS exposure preferred). Familiarity with application analysis tools and modernization methodologies. Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional AWS Solutions Architect Certification Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Master’s degree in Engineering or related field Experience with AWS network services Understanding of modern cloud-native application design and deployment Other Requirements Must possess an active IRS MBI clearance (submission must include proof via MBI letter). Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A laptop is preferred for remote support.
