Director, Accounting

Revolution Medicines

Revolution Medicines seeks a Director of Accounting to lead the US general ledger accounting function and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. The role requires managing a team, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead general ledger accounting function and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Manage and develop general ledger accounting team members through coaching and performance feedback
Oversee reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
Ensure accounting results comply with US GAAP and partner with financial reporting teams on external requirements
Develop and strengthen internal controls over financial close processes and support SOX compliance activities

Requirements

Proven experience leading general ledger accounting teams and financial close processes
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance requirements
Experience with account reconciliations, fixed assets, lease accounting, and equity transactions
Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement accounting system enhancements
Experience partnering across finance functions including financial reporting and technical accounting
Track record of developing high-performing teams and establishing performance expectations
