Senior Director, Revenue and Cost Accounting
Corcept Therapeutics
Senior Director overseeing revenue and cost accounting for Endocrinology and Oncology divisions at a biotech company focused on cortisol modulation therapies. Reports to VP Corporate Controller and manages a team of accounting professionals, responsible for GAAP-compliant financial close processes, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end revenue close process for two business divisions with GAAP compliance oversight
- Manage gross-to-net adjustments, government rebates, and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Oversee inventory accounting cycle including manufacturing accruals and physical counts
- Drive system automation and enhancements in NetSuite for revenue and accounting workflows
- Partner strategically with manufacturing, specialty pharmacies, and third-party logistics providers on operational efficiency
Requirements
- Accounting background with biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience
- Proficiency with NetSuite or similar enterprise accounting systems
- Deep knowledge of revenue recognition standards (GAAP) and SEC reporting requirements
- Understanding of government pricing regulations and healthcare compliance
- Experience managing inventory accounting and cost-of-goods-sold analysis
- Team leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
