CNC Lathe Machinist | $25-$30/hr. based on experience | 3pm - 12am

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team in the Mentor area. This second-shift opportunity is ideal for a skilled machinist who is comfortable setting up and operating CNC turning equipment, working from blueprints, and producing tight-tolerance components. Candidates should be confident making machine adjustments, inspecting their own work, and maintaining quality throughout the machining process.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning equipment
• Load tooling and establish or adjust machine offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify part quality
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers and calipers
• Make tooling and setup adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production standards
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic machining issues
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Follow established safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous CNC lathe or CNC turning experience required
• CNC machine setup experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
• Working knowledge of tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Ability to work independently in a precision machining environment
• Reliable attendance and availability to work second shift
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

The base salary for this position is $25-$30/hr. based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
