Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week available, 8 weekend shifts per contract, floating required

• Cardiac telemetry specialty unit with diverse patient diagnoses including cardiac arrhythmias, MI, ACS, heart failure, post-catheterization, and DKA
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with average daily census of 23 patients
• Epic charting system with 3-day orientation including dedicated Epic training
• 13-week contract minimum available, with opportunities for longer assignments through February 2027
• Collaborative team environment with no charge nurse structure - teamwork essential
• First-time travelers accepted with stepdown experience preferred

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Cardiac telemetry experience mandatory - this is a cardiac tele unit
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing cardiac drips (no blood pressure titration)
• North Carolina or Compact state nursing license
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float to other units as needed

• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and more
