RN MedSurg PCU

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the MedSurg/PCU unit provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting. This role requires flexibility to work across multiple departments, with a focus on patient safety, education, and accurate documentation. The RN is responsible for implementing infection control, managing equipment, administering physician orders, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes. An active Washington State RN license and experience in MedSurg/PCU are required. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in MedSurg, PCU, or telemetry nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot medical equipment safely.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in multiple departments with flexibility.
• Familiarity with emergency cart maintenance and restocking.
• Previous experience in critical access hospital settings.

Special Considerations:

• Willingness and ability to work through the holiday season with minimal requests for time off (RTO).
• Must adhere to hospital policies regarding patient safety, restraint use, and infection control.
• Flexibility to work in different departments as needed.

Scheduling:

• Night shift position for MedSurg/PCU unit.
• Shift assignments based on departmental needs and staffing requirements.
