Partnership Resources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our day program. DSPs are key advocates who foster joyful living by supporting individual choice, skill development and community exploration. This part-time DSP - Assistant position is an entry level role focused on providing flexible, hands-on support with activities in a classroom setting. As a DSP - Assistant, you will: Assist with recreation, leisure and skill-building activities in a collaborative, team environment. We do everything! BINGO, karaoke, music therapy, job readiness, math, reading, healthy living, art and social skills are just a few examples Accompany individuals on field trips and to volunteer sites – assisting people to explore and connect with their community in an inclusive way Support individuals using person-centered strategies in order to help people achieve goals and self-advocate Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM + required weekly team meeting (32 hours per week) Benefits are included: Paid time off Paid holidays off Medical insurance Retirement plan with employer match Voluntary Life AD&D coverage Free Employee Assistance Program Qualifying employer for the federal Public Student Loan Forgiveness program Requirements: No experience necessary. Language skills help us to coordinate services and support participation for individuals served Must be able to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa Minimum age requirement is 18 years Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds Ability to withstand 6 or more hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday Ability and willingness to assist individuals in activities of daily living including feeding, restroom assistance and other self-help skills Ability or willingness to learn basic computer and technology skills This position does not require you to transport individuals Our vision is that every person with disabilities thrives in an inclusive community.
