Contracts Administrator
Location: Tampa, FL Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: $40/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking a Contracts Administrator with 4+ years of experience to support the preparation, negotiation, and management of complex contracts. This role supports engineering, construction, and corporate procurement projects, with growing exposure to IT sourcing such as software licensing and vendor agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement planning and contract strategy development
- Review scopes of work and technical requirements with project teams
- Identify and manage contractual risks
- Prepare contract documents and bid packages
- Lead bid evaluations and support vendor selection
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and claims
- Monitor contract performance, invoices, and compliance
- Support supplier relationships and diversity initiatives
- Work with Legal and Risk teams on contract issues
- Conduct vendor due diligence and assessments
- Help improve procurement processes and reduce costs
- Provide guidance on procurement policies and practices
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in contracts, procurement, sourcing, or related field
- Experience in construction, engineering, or corporate procurement preferred
- Exposure to IT procurement (software, SaaS, licensing) strongly preferred
Skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Understanding of contract and procurement basics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (ERP/SAP experience a plus)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
