Duties include: Preparing course materials Presenting lectures Preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework Holding office hours Other related duties This is a 100% appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year. There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach General or Organic Chemistry, or similar courses, within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment. Key Job Responsibilities: Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance Department: College of Letters & Science, Chemistry Compensation: The minimum salary for a full time (100%) position for an academic year (9 months) is $50,000. Required Qualifications: Previous experience teaching Chemistry is required. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college/university level is preferred.
