Dispensing Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Full Time

Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long‑term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Following the sale of Omnicare by CVS Health, this role will support Omnicare and its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization. The individual hired into this role will be employed by Omnicare and will contribute to shaping the future of our organization during this exciting period of growth and transformation. This pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer both efficiently and safely. You will: Ensure medications dispensed are clinically appropriate Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy Provide accurate and timely drug information to providers and customer facilities Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders. Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling. Prepare and/or provide supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, as required. Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs. Be knowledgeable of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing. Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed by the business Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA. Other duties as assigned (these vary by location). This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow. This is a full time, benefit eligible position. This is a full‑time position. Schedule will be Monday-Friday variable shifts, based on the needs of the business spanning day and evening shifts. The weekend rotation is every third/fourth.There is no on-call requirement. Required Qualifications Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania, active and in good standing. Preferred Qualifications IV experience preferred Long term care experience preferred Education Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy Anticipated Weekly Hours 34 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $55.53 - $93.08 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
