LM402: Sr Accountant

\"Involves performing a variety of accounting duties at intermediate level, applying principles of Accounting. As the position moves toward Senior level, incumbents will increasingly:\" Work on activities with higher impact and/or complexity Have a broader geographical scope from regional, to divisional and corporate level Have more regular contact with senior or executive management Complete tasks independently, without guidance Support or coordinate peers within department or deliver training to internal customers Initiate and lead projects, including cross functional projects General job description Ensures compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices. Ensures proper administration of local statutory reporting, tax accounting requirements, and the filing of tax returns on a timely basis. Administers relationships with tax authorities, payroll service bureau, auditors, and other related agencies. Ensures that internal control of accounting systems is in place and maintained in order to safeguard the company assets and avoid liabilities. Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations of moderate complexity. Prepares cash receipts, disbursement journals, and accruals monthly. Prepares monthly cash flow forecasts and ensures that sufficient funds are always available to meet the company's liabilities. Maintains Miami Accounting and Country Manager updated on accounting related activities by submitting required reports and keeping them informed on issues and changes in related laws and regulations. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting. Fluent in English. Minimum Experience Four (4) years accounting experience. Local professional certification if required. Two (2) years' experience as an Accountant. Minimum Required Skills Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Computer literate. Spreadsheet experience preferred.
