Estimator Apprentice

Position Overview:

The Estimator Apprentice supports the lead estimator or manager in assessing damage, preparing estimates, and communicating with customers and insurance providers. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their careers in the estimating field, providing hands-on training and mentorship to develop the skills necessary to become a certified estimator.

Salary Range : $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in inspecting damaged vehicles at time of drop off with guest.
• Help create accurate cost estimates using industry software (CCC One, Mitchell).
• Schedule repairs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, and insurance adjusters via phone, email, text.
• Learn how to navigate estimating systems, parts sourcing, and labor calculations.
• Maintain organized files and customer records.
• Preform a walk around at the end of the repair with guest.
• Shadow experienced estimators and attend training sessions as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer literacy; experience with estimating software is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license.

Career Path:

This position is designed to transition into a Blueprint Estimator or Estimator role.
