About the Role

We’re looking for a driven Regional Sales Manager residing in the Midwest United States to grow Cardinal Scale’s industrial weighing business. The ideal candidate knows how to build distributor relationships, develop new customer opportunities, sell technical products, and manage a large territory with ownership and follow-through. Experience and knowledge of the scale and weighing industry or industrial sales is a strong plus.

What You’ll Do

• Hunt for new business and create opportunities instead of waiting for them.

• Own the region like it’s your franchise—build a sales plan that supports company objectives and deliver against an annual sales quota.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers while identifying new customer opportunities.
\n
• Meet with distributors and potential end users to develop business, understand applications, and support sales opportunities.
\n
• Follow up consistently on quotes, leads, projects, customer commitments, and distributor activity.
\n
• Manage regional sales objectives by identifying trends, solving problems, forecasting requirements, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action when needed.
\n
• Bring market insight back to the business by identifying customer needs, product opportunities, packaging ideas, and service improvements.
\n
• Continuously strengthen sales skills and product knowledge through seminars, professional publications, networking, and hands-on learning.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or a business-related field preferred.
\n
• Minimum of five years of outside sales experience, with industrial scale sales experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Experience and knowledge of scales, weighing equipment, or other technical products.
\n
• A technical background and the ability to understand industrial weighing applications.
\n
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and follow-through skills.
\n
• A customer-focused mindset, team-oriented approach, and meticulous attention to detail.

Schedule and Benefits

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
