Tax Partner - Corporate & Business TaxPosition OverviewSeeking an experienced Tax Partner to lead our corporate and business tax practice. The role focuses on delivering high-quality tax planning, compliance and structuring advice to public and private clients, driving business development, and overseeing a team of tax professionals to ensure excellent client service and technical accuracy.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide partner-level leadership and oversight for corporate and business tax engagements, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.Develop and maintain strong client relationships; act as the primary advisor on complex tax matters and strategic initiatives.Lead tax planning and structuring for corporate transactions, including M&A, reorganizations and cross-border arrangements.Advise on entity-level and pass-through tax matters for corporations, LLCs and partnerships, including tax-efficient ownership and reporting strategies.Oversee tax compliance and review processes, ensuring accurate federal, state and international filings and effective risk management.Manage, mentor and develop senior managers, managers and senior staff; foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.Drive business development activities: identify new opportunities, prepare proposals, pitch clients and contribute to thought leadership and market outreach.Coordinate with legal, accounting and transaction teams on structuring, due diligence and implementation of tax strategies.Ensure consistent application of firm quality control, documentation standards and professional ethics across engagements.Stay current on tax law changes and interpret their impact on clients; translate technical developments into practical advice for clients and the firm.QualificationsProven partner-level or senior leadership experience in a public accounting or professional services firm, or equivalent in-house role, with a primary focus on corporate and business tax.Deep technical expertise in corporate tax and business tax matters, including tax planning, compliance and controversy prevention.Demonstrated experience advising on pass-through entity issues and reporting requirements for partnerships and limited liability companies.Strong track record advising on M&A transactions, tax structuring and entity selection decisions.Excellent client relationship and business development skills, with experience leading pitches and growing client engagements.History of managing and developing high-performing tax teams, with strong project and engagement management skills.Professional credentials such as CPA are strongly preferred.Nice-to-have: JD, LLM in Taxation, or active tax attorney credentials (Tax Lawyer) and bar admission.Nice-to-have experience: hands-on work with LLCs, partnerships, limited liability companies, pass-through reporting, M&A deal advisory and tax structuring.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex tax concepts into practical client guidance.BenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, etc.
