They will use different types of weld machines and weld processes that include: MIG, TIG, plasma cutter, cutting torch on stainless steel, steel, and aluminum. The Welder 3 has successfully passed additional weld (vertical up, horizontal, and overhead) qualificationsKey Responsibilities:Thorough understanding of MIG/TIG processes & machine settings proceduresRead, understand, and detect errors in the weldment and fabrication drawings; lay out, assemble, tack, and weld to the drawingsOperate vertical and horizontal band saws, and drill pressesOperate a plasma cutter and acetylene torchCut, drill, and deburr material using drawing instructions and blueprintsWork safely and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Ensure that all work meets or exceeds quality specificationsKeep work area clean, maintain tools and equipmentPerform other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Welding trade school certification or 3 years prior MIG or TIG welding experienceMust be able to pass a Company weld evaluation (MIG & TIG)Operate a plasma cutter and acetylene torchRead and understand blueprintsThe ability to use a tape measure and operate small powered hand toolsBasic computer skills are requiredFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
