Responsibilities Coordinate, support, and facilitate the statewide Alzheimer’s disease coalition and workgroups to advance the Texas State Plan and CDC BOLD grant priorities; plan and convene coalition meetings, manage logistics, schedules, and materials, and lead workgroup activities. Support federal grant activities including development of new and continuation applications, work plans, and required deliverables; track grant implementation progress and assist with preparation of progress reports. Develop and disseminate program materials, newsletters, fact sheets, resources, reports, briefings, and other documents while ensuring compliance with policy and brand guidelines; coordinate internal review processes. Participate in external statewide, regional, and local partnerships or coalitions to support implementation of ADRD best practices; attend relevant councils and conferences. Ensure high level of coordination and communication of ADRD-related activities within ADP and across DSHS; gather and interpret information to identify best practices and provide recommendations. Perform additional duties as assigned such as supporting disaster response or COOP activation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of public health practices at local, state, and national levels; federal grant processes; program planning and evaluation; quality improvement practices. Skill in gathering and analyzing data; developing concise reports and written materials; facilitating meetings and stakeholder engagement. Skill in coalition coordination, partnership development, stakeholder engagement across multiple organizations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and document management. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing; build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, or a related field. At least two (2) years experience in a field related to dementia, community preventative services, health promotion, or public health. Experience working with coalitions, grants, project management, and stakeholder or community engagement is preferred. Other Information Military applicants are encouraged to apply if qualified.
