Yes Hours of Work Hours of Work 8:00am - 5:00pm M-F Position Information Posting Number Posting Number TSU203761 Official TSU Title TRIO PROJECT COORDINATOR Grant Title Yes Job Description Summary / TWC Summary TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science ( UBMS ) Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the planning, organization, coordination, and implementation of the day-to-day operations and program services of the TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science Program. Working collaboratively with the Director, the Project Coordinator supports program staff in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating academic initiatives, student services, and program activities that advance the mission, goals, and objectives of the TRIO Upward Bound Math and Science Program. The Director provides strategic leadership, oversight, and direction for all program operations, while the Project Coordinator assists in ensuring the effective delivery of services and compliance with program requirements. This is a Grant Funded position. Collaborate with the Project Director in implementing a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum, including mathematics, English, composition, science, foreign language, computer science, test preparation, and tutorial services designed to meet the academic needs of program participants. Work with the Project Director to plan, coordinate, and implement educational activities, including academic and summer programming, staff training, and class scheduling. In coUaboration with the Project Director and program staff, provide comprehensive academic, personal, career, and financial aid advising and support to program participants. Assist the Project Director in assessing, documenting, and addressing the academic, personal, and motivational needs of participants to ensure appropriate program services are provided. Support the Project Director in promoting the program and coordinating recruitment efforts with target schools to identify, screen, and select eligible participants. Assist participants, particularly seniors, with postsecondary admissions, scholarship opportunities, financial aid applications, and college enrollment processes. Monitor participant academic progress and maintain accurate documentation in collaboration with the Project Director to ensure compliance with program objectives and federal reporting requirements. Assist in providing participants and families with information regarding postsecondary entrance requirements, financial aid opportunities, and college readiness resources. Collaborate with the Project Director in planning, coordinating, and implementing educational, and enrichment activities during the summer and academic year. Assist with the supervision, training, and evaluation of undergraduate tutors, mentors, and student staff under the direction of the Project Director. Participate in collaborative initiatives with other TRIO pre-collegiate programs and university departments to strengthen participant services and identify internal and external resources that enhance program outcomes. Perform other job-related duties as assigned with assistance from the Project Director.

1.0 Hiring Range Hiring Range $55,038.89 - $70,174.59 Education Required: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Counseling, Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, or a closely related field. Required Licensing/Certification Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of: TRIO Department of Education, policies, procedures, and practices. Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications. Work Experience Experience with Federal TRIO programs assisting disadvantage, low income, and firstgeneration pre-college students. Experience coordinating project programming and field experiences Experience advising and assisting students with the college admissions and financial aid process Professional or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting Project Participants Formal training and/or work experience promoting the completion of a rigorous secondary school program of study Formal training and/or work experience increasing post-secondary enrollment rates and promoting college degree attainment rates for low-income and potential first-generation college students.
